Internet Scavenger Hunt



For each question below there is an associated link to a website that will help you find the answers to the questions about people with disabilities, and how technology helps people with disabilties.

3.  Visit www.nod.org and review some of the statistics they provide on people with disabilities. What are some of the statistics that jump out at you?



4.   a) Visit the Easter Seals website www.easterseals.com and click on Disability Facts on the right hand side: Read “Disability Facts and Myths” and list two examples of ways that you can remove barriers in society confronting people with disabilities.




    b)  Click on "Understanding Disability" and read about the specific disabilities listed.  Write down something that you learned about each disability:  cerebral palsey, down syndrome, learning disabilities, post polio syndrome, spina bifida, and stroke.
